Brazilian Zouk Practica Mondays w/ District Zouk!

Come out and try Brazilian Zouk for the first time, or improve your Brazilian Zouk skills!

Level 1 (7:15-8:15pm) Fundamentals
Learn the fundamental steps, movements and lead/follow technique in zouk. No experience or partner necessary. Drop-ins are welcome any week, but we start a new cycle on the first Monday of every month and cover a full cycle of fundamentals each month.

Solo Technique & Drills (7:15-8:15pm)

Practicing and dancing solo is an incredible way to improve several aspects of your dance. In this class, we will explore and drill topics that make your balance more consistent, your footwork more solid, your posture more graceful, and your moves more fluid and flowy in Brazilian Zouk.

Topics include: Weight Transfers, Torsion, Balance, Turns and Axis, and other related side topics. These techniques are underrated but highly appreciated when invisibly present in the yummiest of the dancers around.

Level 2 (8:30-9:30pm) Technique & Variations
Aimed at people who have learned the basics and want to take their dancing to the next level, we will focus on lead/follow technique as well as more complex movements and patterns.

Practica (9:30-11 am)
Practice what you’ve learned in a safe environment – lights on, and you’re free to ask questions of each other and instructors. The practica is included with attendance at either drop-in class, or you can come just for the practica.
