Are you ready to dance the weekend away?

Join us for Forró: Classes and Social in DC on June 10th and 11th!

During this event, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and improve your Forró skills.

Meet our incredible instructors:

🌟 Áurya Pires: Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, she’s an expert in forró roots and tango. With over 20 years of experience, she has taught Forró worldwide since 2014.

🌟 Ana Paula Lima: Originally from Fortaleza, she specializes in forró nordestino. A Latin dance aficionado with more than a decade of teaching experience in salsa, forró, & samba de gafieira.

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced dancer, there’s something for everyone!

5-6 pm Open Class: Áurya
6:15-7:15 pm Spins: Áurya
7:15-10 pm Baile (AKA Party)

Location: Brazilian-American Cultural Center, 3001 Sherman Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20001

*Baile pass is $15 or FREE if you attend two or more weekend classes.

4:15-5:15 pm Footwork: Áurya
5:15-7:30pm Social

Location: Bruce Monroe Community Park, 3012 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010

After the classes, there will be time to socialize, meet new people, and dance to the beats of Forró music on Saturday’s party and Sunday’s social.

The events are kid-friendly. Especially the Sunday event at Bruce Monroe Park (free entrance for ages 0-12).
