Sol y Rumba at Wheaton's TGIF

Join us Friday, August 18th at Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton for live music from Sol y Rumba Band! Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha…Sol y Rumba plays it all. Their latin music features classic songs from Carlos Vives, Joe Arroyo, Celia Cruz and Juan Luis Guerra.

Sol y Rumba began in 1993 by founder Maria Isolina. María Isolina started her career with humble beginnings, singing in small coffee shops in the D.C. area to later becoming a multi-award winning and critically acclaimed Honduran singer-songwriter.

They have opened shows for comedian, George Lopez, and for former President Barack Obama’s inaugural ball.

Also on the agenda, enjoy live artist demonstrations.

The Wheaton Arts & Entertainment District is teaming up with the iconic Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center this year for its TGIF Summer Concert Series, offering an after-work summer celebration on Friday evenings.
