Swouk DC Halloween & 5-Year Anniversary Party (Zouk + West Coast Swing)

🎉 SWOUK IS BACK! 🎉

Join us for a night of Brazilian Zouk & West Coast Swing.
💜 1.5 hours of multi-level lessons in each dance with Elena Rovito & Kelly Ponce de Leon
💜 4.5 hours of social dancing w/ DJ LOJYK & DJ Chapibol – all music is danceable for both dances.

We’ll be celebrating Halloween plus our 5-Year Anniversary of Swouk DC!
💜 Costumes welcome
💜 For those who prefer not to wear Halloween costumes, wear purple and/or black to celebrate.

🟣 CLASSES 🟣

8:00-8:45pm Beginner Zouk & West Coast Swing Classes
8:45-9:30pm Intermediate Zouk & West Coast Swing Classes

– Brazilian Zouk w/ Elena Rovito
– West Coast Swing (WCS) w/ Kelly Ponce de Leon

Each time slot we have two concurrent classes you can choose between. Learn something new or refresh your memory – the first classes are great for beginners, those needing refreshers for these dances, or those interested in cross training.

– Zouk: Learn or review Brazilian zouk foundations, including timing, connection and basic steps. We will cover patterns such as simple turns, traveling basics, and lateral. Practice these fundamentals so you can enjoy dancing all night!

– WCS: Learn or review west coast swing foundations including timing and footwork. We will cover patterns such as sugar push, sugar tuck, left/right side pass, and whips.

Music will be danceable for both dances, so we’ll keep you dancing all night!
